Rhamnus prinoides | Shiny-leaf for sale | Blinkblaar 

Shiny-leaf (Blinkblaar) is a small, evergreen, hardy tree with a shrub-like growth form and non-aggressive roots. The tree grows at a medium rate and is known for its shiny leaves and red, edible berries - often in abundance.  Rhamnus prinoides is an easy grower. It is tolerates severe but needs moderate water.  It may grow a bit wild and untidy and needs occasional pruning. Plant Shiny-leaf in a small or even very small garden for its shiny leaves and to attract fruit eating birds.
