Ziziphus mucronata | Buffalo-thorn tree for sale | Blinkblaar wag 'n bietjie
Buffalo-thorn tree is very hardy, tolerating extreme frost and drought. It is deciduous tree with a medium growth rate and only mildly aggressive roots. Ziziphus mucronata has striking, glossy green leaves. It has nasty thorns arranged in pairs, one hooked and the other straight, hence the Afrikaans name, "wag-'n-bietjie"! Ziziphus mucrnata is Tree of the Year for 2017.
