September-bells (Klokkiesvalskatjiepiering) is a medium-small, evergreen tree that grows fairly fast. It has a non-aggressive root system and bears striking, white, bell-shaped flowers which develop into green, globose fruit, a bit smaller than a golf ball.  Rothmannia globosa tolerates light frost and requires moderate water. Plant September-bells in a small or even very small garden for its flowers, or use it as a screening tree.
