Red mahogany has a statuesque growth form, usually with a long straight trunk.  The tree has large compound leaves that form a dense globose crown. Khaya anthotheca is evergreen, fast growing and slightly cold sensitive. It becomes very large and has an aggressive  root system. It is a good choice for a fast growing shade tree in a park or large garden.
