Afzelia quanzensis | Pod-mahogany trees for sale

Pod mahogany is frost sensitive and somewhat drought tolerant. It is a large, fast growing, deciduous tree with a wide spreading canopy. The tree has large pinnate (once divided) leaves which give deep shade during summer. Afzelia quanzensis' root system is only slightly aggressive. The tree responds well to pruning and it does excellently in a container. Use this method if you want to plant a Pod mahogany in a small garden. Afzelia quanzensis is a popular bonsai species.
